The Mixing of People

Have you ever noticed how people who are alike group together? All of the "cool" people hang out, and the athletes, and the "smart" people. What would happen if everyone decided to mix things up? The bench warmer, who might be one of the "smart" people, might get to play. Maybe a "cool" person could learn some things from a "smart" person. If everyone mingled together, we could create a world where almost everyone would get along. If the world got along, more people could become Christians, and if the entire country of America as a Christian nation, we could spread out to other parts of the world, taking the gospel with us. Right now there aren't enough pilots that will fly to other countries to bring food and supplies. There aren't enough ordinary people, coming from ordinary lives, who can leave their lives for just a couple of weeks, and go hold a baby who has no one, pray over a mother who needs help, or talk to a lonely child. If people could mix with each other and become a strong group of Christians, there might be more people who would leave their lives for a while and step into someone else's shoes. Someone else's shoes might be dirty, worn out, or they might not fit the person. But that doesn't mean they're not still a person that God created, and maybe they need you.

More About Moving

I'm getting more and more excited about moving. It is also getting harder. Today we had our last meeting with our co-op group. I've known most of that group my whole life. Even worse, I could sense a sadness in the group today. Maybe some of you can relate. Well, I'm not going to feel sorry for myself. Although I'll miss all my friends here, my BEST friend (Jesus) will be with me no matter if I'm in Honduras or Peru.
Is there anything anyone would like to see me write about? I'd love to hear your questions and ideas.

Changes and Dogs

There are some changes in our plan for YWAM. Our DTS is being delayed until February. There are some drawbacks, especially since my dad hasn't had work since June. However, there are also some good things. We have more time to raise our funds, and also more time with our friends.
My dad is applying at some holiday jobs, and one in particular is almost definite. They have to have the drug test come back, then they'll tell my dad if he gets the job. My dad does not do drugs, so we're not worried about that at all. It could be that they don't want him, though, so we're praying.
Anyone want some dogs? The person who wanted our dogs is having second thoughts. Here's some pictures...

Many Blessings

My family has been incredibly blessed in the past few months. We needed someone to take our many animals and house. Our two dogs, Zippy and Moses, are going to live with a family friend on her horse farm. My brother's pigeon, Arcadia, is going to a friend of his who wants to have the pigeon for 4-H. An old friend of my mom's from high school and her daughter are going to move in to our house, and our chickens and cat, Mordecai, are staying with them.
When we move, we were going to take our van with all our necessities in it, and that's it. We were praying for a trailer because our van barely holds the six of us, much less all of us and all of our stuff. A local church donated us a trailer that is just the right size.
We went clearance shopping a couple of weeks ago, because a few family members needed clothes, particularly my mom. My dad and brother found a lot of great deals for themselves, but Mom didn't. My dad told her to pray for pants. About a week later, Mom went to help out a friend who had just had surgery, and her daughter had a crate full of brand name pants that were my mom's size. My mom came home with nineteen pairs of thirty to fifty dollar pants. Now she's praying for tops. :)
My youngest sister, Lydia, is only three and is required to have a nanny while the rest of us go through our training. Yesterday it was confirmed that we are going to have a nanny for Lydia,
Wouldn't you think that if God didn't want us to go, He wouldn't have given us all of that? He's not going to just take it all back and dash all of our hopes. He will provide a way for everything to work out. This is a great confirmation for me because in the past, we've said we were going to move here or there, and then God shut those doors. That's happened three times in the last couple of years. When Dad told us we were moving and joining YWAM, I wasn't certain it would really happen. Now I know it is.

Autumn

Hey! I’m Saige, (NOT Sage. There is a different pronunciation-the G is softer in my name). Anyway, I’m twelve years old and a typical home-schooled girl. One thing, though-my family is going into full time missions with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in January. Unfortunately, we will be driving on my birthday (January second). But that doesn’t matter at all because the place we are driving to will change my life more than a thirteenth birthday would. Obeying God’s call on one’s life is the most important thing in all of the Milky Way. Not to mention I’ll get to spend my birthday in several different states.
Autumn is glorious! I live in the country, and every tree is a different shade of orange, yellow, red, or brown. If you put that up against a clear blue sky, you’ve got a masterpiece! Wasn’t it thoughtfully creative of God to create every season so unique and beautiful in different ways?
